We're currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team in Forest, Ontario.

OPPORTUNITY:

When a customer's equipment goes down, the job doesn't wait. Whether it's an excavator on a construction site, a skid steer moving material, or agricultural equipment during a busy season, our customers rely on Delta Power Equipment to help get them back up and running.

That's where you come in. If you're the type of person who enjoys figuring out what's wrong, getting your hands dirty, and hearing an engine fire back to life after a repair, you might be exactly who we're looking for.

You'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of agricultural and construction equipment and technology. Your work may include everything from routine maintenance and diagnostics to complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

  • Repair cooling and lubrication systems
  • Repair transmissions, drivetrains, final drives, and other mechanical components
  • Install, align, and service engines and major equipment components
  • Install new equipment, attachments, and additional components
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure it is operating safely and performing properly
  • Complete work orders, timecards, and repair documentation accurately
  • Continue developing your knowledge of new equipment, technology, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

You don't need to know everything, but you should enjoy the challenge of figuring things out. We're looking for someone who brings mechanical knowledge, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to continue learning:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Agricultural Equipment Technician or Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification is preferred
  • Previous experience working with agricultural, construction, heavy-duty, or off-road equipment
  • Strong mechanical knowledge, including experience with hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and time-management skills
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • A valid Ontario G Driver's Licence with a clean driving abstract
  • The physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
