You can hear an engine running and know when something doesn't sound right. You enjoy troubleshooting the problem, finding the fix, and seeing a machine leave the shop running better than when it came in.

Delta Power Equipment is a full-service dealership with 450+ employees across Ontario, supporting customers in the agricultural, construction, and powersports industries. Our BRP division has three powersports locations with sales, parts, and service teams supporting customers and their rides.

We’re looking for an Experienced Powersports Service Technician/Mechanic to join our St. Marys team.

  • Can-Am Off-Road ATVs & Side-by-Sides
  • Sea-Doo Personal Watercraft
  • Ski-Doo Snowmobiles
  • Lynx Snowmobiles
  • Sea-Doo Switch pontoon boats
  • Wave Armor products and accessories

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

As an experienced technician, you'll be trusted to diagnose problems, complete repairs, and get customers back to enjoying their machines.

Your day may include:

  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining BRP equipment
  • Performing engine, drivetrain, electrical, fuel, cooling, and mechanical repairs
  • Using diagnostic tools and OEM technical information to identify problems
  • Completing preventative maintenance and seasonal inspections
  • Performing warranty and customer-pay repairs
  • Installing accessories, components, and aftermarket products
  • Setting up and preparing new units for customers
  • Testing equipment after repairs to ensure it is operating safely and properly
  • Completing work orders, timecards, warranty claims, and service documentation
  • Communicating repair recommendations and updates with the service team and customers
  • Staying current with BRP technical updates, products, and repair procedures
  • Keeping your work area clean, organized, and safe
  • Supporting and sharing your knowledge with other technicians and apprentices

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We're looking for someone who already has hands-on experience in a professional powersports environment.

You bring:

  • Previous experience as a Powersports, Motorcycle, Marine, Small Engine, or Recreational Equipment Technician
  • BRP experience is a strong asset
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Solid mechanical and electrical knowledge
  • Experience working with engines, fuel systems, drivetrains, cooling systems, and related components
  • Ability to confidently diagnose problems and determine the appropriate repair
  • Experience using diagnostic software, service information, and technical resources
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organization and time-management skills
  • A valid G driver's licence and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Flexibility to work overtime during busy seasonal periods
