SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Delta Power Equipment is seeking a skilled Recreational Equipment / Small Engine Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain industry-leading brands such as Sea-Doo, Can-Am, Ski-Doo, Lynx, and more. This role is ideal for someone passionate about powersports, mechanical systems, and delivering high-quality workmanship.

Diagnostics & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose defects in powersport, lawn, and small engine equipment.
• Perform electrical, hydraulic, cooling, and lubrication system diagnostics.

 Mechanical Repairs & Maintenance

• Complete mechanical repairs in shop and on customer sites when required.
• Install, repair, or adjust hydraulic pumps, safety valves, transmissions, drive-trains, and engines.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance.

 Installation & Setup

• Install new units and added-on accessories or components.
• Align and set up engines and equipment systems.

 Reporting & Documentation

• Complete accurate work orders, timecards, and maintenance documentation.
• Maintain knowledge of current technologies, OEM updates, and repair techniques.

 Other Duties

• Follow all workplace safety policies.
• Assist and instruct apprentices as required.
• Perform other mechanical repairs as assigned.

 WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge and previous experience as powersport or small engine technician
• Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Time management and prioritization skills.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
• Valid G driver's licence with a clean driving abstract.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Overtime as required.
• Comfort working in environments typical to mechanical repair facilities.
• Work both indoors and outdoors.
• Safety equipment will be required (For example, steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses).
